REALITY
Name: Risa Hayami
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Grade: 10th
Appearance: Risa is among one of the more popular students when it comes to appearance. She has large, brown eyes that make her seem very kind, which she is, and coco brown hair that is considerably long, reaching about mid-back. Her bangs are long, coming to be a little past the eyes or at least reaching the eyes. Her skin is a normal tone, light and a little peach-ish.
Risa herself is a thin girl, not weighing more than 103 pounds. She reaches the height of 5'3" (five feet, three inches). Her hair is usually half down, half up. The half that is up is tied by a bow that is pink. The bow is very messy, as usually she is in a rush, not having time to do her hair.
Risa can usually be found wearing a white and red school girl outfit. The outfit is a long-sleeved shirt and a skirt. The shirt has white sleeves, a red outer jacket, and underneath the jacket (which is short, reaching a little bit above midriff) is a white shirt. The skirt is red like the jacket and is at a length of about mid-thigh. The skirt has a white stripe running near the border of the skirt. This is Risa's usual outfit.
Risa also has a summer outfit. The summer outfit is a dress consisting of various shades of brown. It is a sun dress and so the length is about at the knee. When wearing this dress, Risa puts on a brown necklace as an accessory. She also does not tie her hair up when wearing this outfit. It is left loosely down.
Risa has been told that she has the same hair color and eye color as her mother and is a spitting image, except with longer hair and larger eyes.

Personality: Risa in the real world has a very kind personality. She has many qualities that may seem strange to be all in one person. Some qualities she has are exact opposites of each other, and that sometimes makes her hard to figure out. She may have you thinking one thing today, and a totally different thing tomorrow.
Risa is kind, sometimes reaching the extent of being too kind. She will help literally anyone and she does not know her limits when helping someone. She does not care who it is, but if they are in trouble, she will help with all her might, literally. Everyone who knows her well says that her kindness will someday be her downfall. She just laughs it off and does not believe that. She likes to find the best out of everyone and if someone makes a crude comment about her, she would just ignore it, unless it goes too far. If it is very rude, she would lecture the person about what they said, taking a motherly stand in the situation.
Risa is smart, always paying attention in class, getting nothing less than a B in her classes. She will never fail a class. The strange thing is that when she is outside her classes, she is totally clueless and a complete dunce. People say that she needs to get out of the books and be more up-to-date with the real world, outside of school. She tries hard to keep up in the social area, but usually, it doesn't turn out so well.
Risa is also a shy girl, not opening up to anyone unless she trusts them. She has friends, but not very many, as usually, she is that girl in the corner, head deep in a book or something. She trusts people easily as soon as they break through her wall. When she first meets someone, she would talk to them in short, blunt answers, saying two to three word sentences. She is rarely the one to make the first move, and when she does, it is usually because she is being kind to them or something along the lines of that.
Even though Risa is shy, she is very talkative and outgoing once you get to know her. She would contribute and collaborate more if she knows you well. You see her change everyday. By each passing of the day, she starts to talk a little more and more, coming to the point where she is the one who starts the conversation with you.
One of the weirdest things about Risa's personality is that she loves to sing. Even with her shy self, she loves to use her vocals. This gave her a very open mind about music. She likes almost every type of music, with the exclusions of rap, hip-hop, and country. She also can't listen to classical, as it will bore her to the point where she is literally sleeping through it.
Hobby: Risa likes to sing, listen to music, and bother her friends by constantly calling them. This is all in addition to playing 'The World' and studying, lots and lots of studying.
History: Risa grew up as the daughter of Akira Hayami, the original BlackRose. As she grew up, she was not the largest fan of 'The World', thinking that it would get in the way of her schoolwork and studies. She lived a happy life, successful and praised by her parents for being so smart. She was not spoiled and she liked it that way. She learned to be very independent, as her parents were rarely ever home.
Risa learned quickly and she never had problems with her school. She would be able to do advanced 3rd grade math in her 1st grade class. She was offered a grade skip multiple times, but most times were rejected. She was only willing to accept it once, which explains why she is in the tenth grade instead of the ninth.
Risa was not only smart, but also popular. She had a large circle of friends, being friends with almost everyone in the school. She would hang out with anyone, literally. Her group varies from the scary emo people to the nerdy smart people to the totally retarded jocks.
Risa's mother was her best friend. They did everything together, told each other everything. But the one thing Risa hated the most about her mom was how she'd always try to get her to try 'The World'. Her mother would always try to bring it up in conversations and such. But.... Risa never knew how big 'The World' was for her mother. Risa considered it just a game, nothing more. Her mother considered it an important part of her life, as many things happened in 'The World'.
Risa loved going home and showing her mom an A as she would be praised greatly and sometimes taken out to dinner. Then, her world changed as she knew it. Her rock, her support, taken away from her. Her mom had fallen into a coma, the last day of 8th grade. She had came home from school, walking that day, and came home to find her mother on the floor. She changed after that.
Risa deeply missed her mother, visiting her as often as possible in the hospital. She would tell her mother how school went, knowing somehow her mom could hear her. The people at the hospital felt sorry for her, but also thought that she was crazy. She didn't care. She just went on, talking to her mom. Then, on the last day of that summer, she wanted to grant the last wish that her mother ever told her and logged into 'The World', where she created a new character, looking very similar to BlackRose, wanting to honor her mom.
She made a character named Sakura, keeping the "flower" theme in her mother's name. For about a month and a half, she played as this character until she noticed that she had an e-mail. Someone had sent her a character...
THE WORLD
Name: BlackRose
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Appearance: BlackRose has a very sweet appearance. You can tell by her light scarlet red, which happen to be very big and innocent, that she is kind-hearted and she does not really have the intention to hurt any one. Her smile is very cute, but yet not overwhelmingly large. She does not really have an angry face, a pouting face, yes, but not an angry face. Her hair is white and pink, about half and half.
BlackRose has two light yellow marks, right below her eyes, on her cheeks. This is not the only location where the marks are though. There are many located on her body, some being located on her arms and a couple located on her midriff. There are also two underneath her collarbone, or where her collarbone would be, since they don't really have one.
BlackRose wears a pinkish-purple colored armor set. The top is short, showing her midriff and there is one strap located on her right shoulder. Her lower arm has protection too, it covers all of the lower arm until the wrist. She also has a skirt, mostly metal, but having one piece that is cloth sticking out from the bottom of the middle piece of metal. She wears purple leggings with a strange yellow line design going down it. Her shoes are white with a touch of silver and a blue-green border.

Personality: In 'The World', Risa does not act like her real self. She does not differ too much, but she adds more spunk. In 'The World', she is still kind and polite, but she actually has some backbone. She stands up for herself more, although it still isn't too often. She likes to just have fun and meet new people in the world. It would never even cross her mind to be a PK'er or much rather a PKK'er.
When playing online, Risa is much more open, not holding herself in as often as in the real world. She likes to introduce herself to new people. She carefully selects anyone who looks interesting to release her bomb of joy on. She will run around, looking for random things to give to random strangers. Why she does this? No one knows, not even Risa herself knows really.
As BlackRose, Risa is not very much like her mother at all. Her mother is hotheaded and has a very tough attitude, while on the inside, just using that attitude to cover up her fear. Risa is more open and if she was scared, she would show it immediately. Risa does not have any sign of a tough attitude, except for occasionally talking back and actually saying no every once in a while.
She aspires to join a party all the time, but unfortunately, people don't really want her to join their party. When this happens, she usually holds a grudge on them, taking a mental note of who they are and making sure that she never does a kind thing for them again, unless they actually have a good reason for rejecting her. Then, she tends to reconsider shunning them for the rest of her life.
Risa is a little childish for her age, in 'The World' and in reality. She likes to kid around with people and will usually be caught with a smile on her face. Every day is April Fool's Day for her, as she would usually play practical jokes on her friends just for the sake of boredom, or because they look like they need a laugh. She is known to be able to change people, like change their perspective on the game. They, when first meeting her, may think that the game is all about the best PK'ers, then after about 3 months, may think that 'The World' is just about having fun.

History: Before having BlackRose, Risa used to have a character named Sakura. Sakura was basically a BlackRose look-alike and so, Risa loved this character very much. She would never let her get hurt, just staying in the cities and laying on the fake grass in the fields when playing. Risa just had some kind of feeling that if this character was safe, then her mother would be safe. Of course this wasn't true, but it was something she told herself so often, she started believing it herself.
Risa had Sakura for about 45 days. She played her continuously until one day, she had mail. She opened it to find that someone had sent her character data. She tried the character and immediately realized that this was BlackRose, her mother's character. She noticed though, that BlackRose had been completely reduced to level one. Risa didn't really care. She was just happy that she had gotten BlackRose. She loved this so-called "gift from god". She did not want BlackRose to be weak and so she trained her to live up to the former .hacker's standards.
Once fighting, she realized that it was actually kind of fun. She enjoyed all of the slashing and such. She also knew that it was just data she was destroying so she wouldn't feel guilty. She never got killed, taking extreme cautions with her mother's character, not letting anything happen at all. She wasn't able to level BlackRose up, although this might have been because she was too careful with her.
Risa did not play the online game with any murderer's intent, instead, she played it for the sake of her mother and to find a way out of the real world where everything was so dark and gloomy. She liked the game, it always had a cheerful ring to it, the sky was always blue and the grass was always green, perfect for relaxing. She liked it that way, life without a care.

Kaede was just sitting, eating her lunch, that is until she noticed Mirany-san's voice.
"Are you all right, Kaede-san?"
"Are you all right, Kaede-san?"
She looked up from her lunch tray to notice that Mirany was coming towards her. She nodded, showing that she was fine. "Don't worry, I'm fine. It was just a splinter really. No big deal. Thanks for asking though, I was starting to feel like I was invisible." She smiled at the girl, not wanting her to worry too much. If anyone else noticed, then Kaede would have attracted too much attention and she just can't afford that happening.
As Mirany came closer to her, Kaede scooted over a little bit, leaving her some room to sit next to her. She smiled at Mirany and waved, showing Mirany that she could have sat next to Kaede. Although she is shy, Kaede is still kind, and so she wanted to show that she was polite and was open to new people, even though in truth, she really wasn't that open. She then looked past Mirany for a little bit to see that Akito was coming toward her, calling out to her.
"KAE-CHAN~!"
As he rushed toward her, she watched him, wondering how it was possible that that much energy could be placed in one fourteen year old boy. She waved at him lightly, showing that she was aware that he was coming toward her. She put on a small, fake smile for all of those who were staring at her, wondering why someone was calling out her name.
Then, when Akito finally reached his seat, placed across from hers, Kaede slightly chuckled, laughing at the way he was sitting, no feet on the ground, all of his body on the chair. She noticed that Akito started to inch closer and closer, and the young girl started to wonder why.
"Just between you and me, I'm a shinigami. Cool, huh?"
She immediately looked up, surprised, yet not surprised at the same time. She knew that Akito was either a powered human or a shinigami, so that was not as shocking. But still, she expected him to be a human, he didn't seem like the shinigami, death god type. Sasuke seemed to be more of the kind for that.
Kaede then scanned the horizon for Sasuke. He seemed to be looking at the gates of the school, hands in his pockets, looking a little annoyed. Kaede started to wonder why. It couldn't have been her. Maybe something bad happened to him just a couple of minutes ago while she was paying attention to Mirany and Akito? Whatever it was, he seemed to be thinking of getting away from them.
She then looked away from Sasuke, turning her glance back at Akito. What were they talking about? Oh yeah, he was a shinigami! She tried to act as surprised as she could, and being the "great actor" that she was, it didn't seem too convincing.
"Wow! Really? No way! I am so surprised! Umm, I have a question then. As a shinigami, what do you really do? I mean I have the basic picture and all, but what do you do like behind the scenes?"
"Oh, right, Kae-chan! Thanks for the riceball earlier!"
This came out of nowhere as she was just on the topic of shinigamis. A sudden switch to riceballs was surprising. She just nodded to show that she was aware of his thanks. She then looked up at him, to say you're welcome, but was cut off because before she knew it, he had already started a new sentence.
"Y' know, if you feel out of place, you can always come to me; I felt that way when I was a human. Since we shared lunch, we're considered 'friends', right?"
She knew exactly how that felt actually. To feel left out and out of place and not be like anyone else. She was surprised to find someone else who feels the same way... or really used to feel the same way. And she was also surprised that he considered her a friend. They had barely ever spoken to each other until today. How could they be friends that easily? She looked around her, at all her peers, the ones that had shunned her, and then looked at Akito with the corner of her eye. Friend? She had never known the actual meaning of this word after what had happened to her father.
She decided that it was time to actually let someone know who she really was and so she put her hand out, letting Akito know that she accepted the friendship gesture.
"Friends." she said, with a genuine smile on her face.
